Default What heads on a 427 F1C

We made 905whp/800wtq on my 427 / F1C with non-ported LS2 heads and an completely stock LS2 intake at 16.5# with 93 octane and Alky Injection. I was originally thinking about going with an ET LS7 with an LS7 intake, but have second thoughts about maybe running TEA/TFS 245's with a ported FAST 92. thoughts?

ETP.

how much more boost do you have to go? nice set-up, think you can break 1000rwhp with heads, intake, and more boost?

My choice is also ETP. Rather than putting money into a ported FAST intake, it would be much better IMO to spend that money on your heads.

L92's and GMPP single plane/elbow... if you had a 6 bolt block and were going 6 bolt that would not be my choice, but for 4 bolt that's a really hard to beat cost effective combo... that flows like crazy...

I would go with All Pro stuff from WCCH. Richard is really good to work with and gets stuff on time.

I think there is easily another 200 left in it with a good top end.

That was my original thought as well. I had the engine built with LS7 pistons, but with the amount of dish, it shouldn't matter. The thing I like about the ET's is a boss for LS7 rockers and larger valve spring pockets, so I can run stainless intake valves.

I asked Taylor about his L92's - they flow great, but I would have to run Ti valves, which makes them just as expensive as race heads and probably more so after I add the cost of a new hood. Plus the race heads have much thicker decks.

I have been watching Jordan's build with the LSW's on the CF. I was under the impression that they are intended for a solid roller application since they flow to like 8K. I had Richard price them out and they are competitively priced until you add a set of J2K's.

What experience do you want? You don't list the whole setup like Cam,compression, headers and what the car is used for.I'm guessing it is a street car and the Dyno # is more important than a track time?

By the limited info,we ussually run a decent head like a AFR 225 or TFS 235 with a Carb intake setup.I find the intake evens out the cylinders pretty good when making 800+ on pump gas/meth.

Standing mile car... a little bit more abuse than 1/4 mile dig, long pulls in high gears... he just wants to make the power for the ever increasing need for speed... more and more of us going this route, man it's fun, and different...
