FTMFW!!!!! Its finally running
I bought a 91 RS Vert well a long time ago lol probably under a year ago. Swapped out the blown motor, did a t5 swap and well it finally started. Took so long mainly due to lazyness but it finally started But now the issue is that its running extremely rich. I posted on www.thirdgen.org and they're telling me it may be because it used to have a 350 and I threw in a 305 I had laying around so the injectors are supplying way too much fuel. I also remembered that the guy i bought it from said it had a hypertech chip so i'm gonna remove it and install the stock tbi chip. Now to look for a crashed 91-92 z28 to buy and take the tpi from

because the l05 is a shitty motor and it was fucked so i would have to spend cash on rebuilding it. But I have a 350 sitting on a stand in my garage that was in my carbed 85 z28. Its actually a 355, has vortec heads and some huge cam but i don't know the specs on it. That motor put out some power. It also has a Edelbrock high rise intake manifold for carb. But i don't want to throw that motor in until i find a tpi intake that will work with vortec heads and convert it. And well I want to put the 350 in after I tear it open and put a more street friendly cam in there and match the springs to. Because before it would reach 4000 rpm and its like it hit a wall. I was told that was because the cam was too big for springs. Since I'm not going to race the vert much I want a more streetable setup.

Ok solid sounds good man I didn't mean for it to be a a personal attack question just so you know. yeah stiffen the springs and that cam should be fine hahaha. No thats cool I understand this is why im not camming my car until I get another to replace or i get a second gen camaro around the 74-75 range.

don't worry bout it i didn't take it as an attack. And yeah i have another car so this one is just my weekend car. But i want something a little more streetable. Although I loved that old cam and car made tons of power i was just asking to get pulled over. That cam would make my car shake all over the place on idle
That my friend is called success. LOL cool beans man.

lack of funds. I also want to keep it somewhat street legal. since i'm not gonna race it i don't want to hassle with it during smog time. Would a modified lt1 intake bolt up to vortec heads? and will it be smog legal on my car? Well any idea what would have to be done to an lt1 intake to get it to work with my car? I didn't know u can do that

Why only a 1991 or 1992? 1990 TPI cars also used Speed Density, if that is what you're after. 85-89 were the TPI cars that used MAFs.
Dyno Don welds in SFCs. He's local in Orange. Give him a PM or a call. He is number one on this list.
