Default Is there any benifit t odeleteing the AIR off of a 2002 ls1?

I am installing a TSP 85mm lid and ZO6 85mm mass air and the lid doesn't have the provision for the air hose on my 2002 camaro. I am trying to decide between just eliminating the air. or just use a filter on the air hose that goes on to the air lid.

I don't think there's a performance difference at all. a little weight loss (probably about 5-8lbs) and it cleans up the engine bay a bit. i deleted mine

ditto what rooster said.

if you have stock manifolds you need blockoff plates. and i'm pretty sure there is a code to delete or else you'll throw an SES. been too long since i removed mine... can someone confirm that?

it'll throw a check engine light, but it's easy for someone with a tuner to tune out. when i had the tune put on my car, they just tuned it out while they were in there

01-02 cars came from the factory without EGR... is a DPS officer going to know the year to year changes of vehicle emission systems?
