There are many cams right around that lift number. Was the previous owner merely mentioning the cam was around that lift spec? You really need intake/exhaust duration/lift numbers along with LSA to figure out what cam was used.

man i really dont know a whole lot about the inner motor on this car and i know thats bad but it was a sweet deal and it wasnt going to last long so i jumped on it! This is what i know ... fast intake, port and polish TB, SLP air intake, oversized water pump, ls7 heads, hooker headers, .600 lift cam, aftermarket roller rocker arms and crank, spintec exhaust with dual cutouts, 410 rear end, husrt short throw shifter and only 70k when i bought it for $10k. NOT bad huh?

most likely it has ls6 heads....i'm not even sure the ls7 heads fit on the ls1.

sounds like you have a nice setup. but honestly...i'd be skeptical of things if the owner didn't even know what cam he had.

did he not buy it? or have it installed?

he must have done some research on it.

but yeah...asking what cam it and only knowing the lift number.....is about as vague as it gets.

thats just a shot in the dark really. My cam is a 227/231 .613/.619. Does he not have anymore info on the cam? Can he still get in touch with who ever he bought the car from that had the work done?

This has to be the most vague question ever. Any cam, like said above, could have .600 lift. you need a few more numbers to work with here.

maybe this one?

Thunder Racing Custom Camshaft
"Split Pattern" - 230/236 .592/.602 112 LSA 2400-6800 RPM Power Band. Excellent mid-range & high RPM power. 3200+ stall, 3.42+ gear, computer tuning required. Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended.

yeah you could have something in the mid 23x with around .600" lift...or now with some of the new lobe designs you could have something in the mid 22xs with that much lift.

but a good guess would be something in the 230-235 range
