Default Please answer these three questions

What is the problem? How to fix it ? $$$ ?

For some reason when the clutch is disengaged it makes a wierd rattle/click sound but when i engage it it the sound goes away and is fine.

On all gears (m6) if i am going slow but accelerating from about 1000 to 2000 RPM there is a sort of grindin noise coming from under the stick shifter. after about 2000-2500 rpm it stops. And this is all if accelerating under normal speed not haulin ***

My window will roll up and down but wil stop every few inches. i will have to wait then try again and it will do the same thing.

Please help me out here. Thanks

sounds like the clutch isnt disengaging all the way...check out the hydraulics. Also your window motor is going out.

I don't think its your hydraulics because it would grind or just simply not want to go in gear if they were not working properly. Also if its not disengaging I would think it would try to move a little when you have the clutch engaged. Hard to tell with the rattle without knowing what kind of clutch, mileage, mileage on the pilot bearing, etc... I don't think you have any worries with the grinding under the shifter unless its excessively loud.

I agree; it could be a combination of things with your tranny. I would guess you have a noisy throw-out bearing but as for the grinding it is hard to say without knowing exactly what 1bdBULLITT asked.

The window motor needs to be replaced and to allow for a longer window life consider our window fix kit to go along.

You need a new throwout bearing.

2nd issue is not an issue at all, just tranny noise. Don't sweat it.

You need a new window motor.

+1

The throwout bearing is almost certainly the issue with the rattle when the clutch pedal is pressed... unless you have a twin disk clutch, in which case it could be the floater, and it would've been that way since it was new.

The "grinding" sound at low speed is probably just vibration in the transmission. Mine started doing that when I switched clutches and flywheels, and it's no big deal. It's gone by 1800 RPMs much like you were describing.

Agree on the window motor as well.

Clutch needs to be fixed. Id use a LS7 Clutch kit with a LS6 Slave Cylinder (includes new throwout bearing) and a new pilot bearing.

Also you need a new window motor.

PM me for some prices.
