Default Reliable Daily Driver

This car will be driven every day and ran hard. Procharged It is my wifes daily driver, I do not want to rebuild it every 20 k miles. So do I a forged 346 at650 Rwhp area, 370 at 700 rwhp or a 408 and do 750 rwhp?

I'd say 408 at 700rwhp... hope you've got a lil over $20k laying around to dump into this thing.

I am not just sitting almost all other parts in place, have a block, heads, timing chain, lifters, rockers, cam, fab 9, ta relocator, full suspension, pro charger upgrade from p-1 to d-1, exhaust, intake, meth, 8 rib, I am trying to do a 4l8oe swap though too. I am burnt on f- body clutches, I know I will not be doing a spec 3+ again, 2 in 10k miles two pressure plates failed.

Hell I am building a reliable DD right now.

Stock 2002 LS1 Z28 6spd.
-E-bay Hot side (reworked by me)
-TC78
-TS 38mm WG
-TS52mm BOV
-3" Aluminum Cold side
-Ebay A2W IC

Keeping to stock 57k mile Long Block, 6spd, and 10 bolt rear. The car wont see slicks or much more than a set of 315/35/17 BFG DR's on some heavy *** 17x11 ZR1's.

It is destined to be my DD year round. Shooting for 500rwhp on 93 octane.

346....cheap to replace and lighter than iron without the wear of a stroker. you should be able to run that on 93 octane for a LONG time at 650rwhp. Could prolly even get away with a 4l60e if its a nice build

Cable are thinking the 408 not as reliable then? When does pushing water come in to play?

Check out this 346 budget build with a D-1SC at 16 psi. It ran hard on a 2.1 mile road course for several years, and got 28 mpg on a vacation for the owner. Bob
