Default death by mustang

so i went to our local races tonight, and some kid in a mustang gt kept bugging me to race him. finally i gave in. his mods are throttle body spacer, long tubes, diablo tune and a few other things that he rambled on about.

so we line up at the spot he wanted to, wich faced down hill and it was imspossible to launch while rolling. so we both hit it and he got the jump on me because i was spinning. 1st he had me by about a car and a half..... second i was at around his rear tire........... i hit third and my clutch slipped like such a bastard i never walked around him but oh well time for a new clutch i guess and then its round 2

but anyone got any preferances on an affordable upgrade on the stock clutch?

There are many choices to choose from and they are all present in the Manual Transmission section...I happen to have a LS7 clutch and love it.

Or don't try to race Mustangs when you know you are going to lose.

yea ive been looking at ls7 clutches because ive herd they are pretty good for driveability and what not

Or don't try to race Mustangs when you know you are going to lose.
and yea im not to worried about losing to a mustang, ive owned my fair share of them and i would have reeled him in no problem

Nice death i guess.
But if your clutch slipped that bad, it wasn't the first time it had recently obviously, so why would you even bother racing? Shoulda just told the kid to chill out and take his riddlin and your clutch is slipping, no need to race when you have a disadvantage like that.

Thats like an olympic runner loosing a leg and still racing other guys with 2 good legs.

I got mine from Scoggin Dickey. They are even a sponser here. There are other sponsers that sell them as well. I don't know which ones off the top of my head though.
