Replaced opti, now car just cranks till battery is dead? WTF
I've been tracking down a misfire for a few weeks and I finally replaced everything but the opti and it still misfires. I order a new gm opti and put it in, which is a pain in the ***. But now the car just sits there and cranks and cranks till the battery is dead. Everything is hooked up and tight. I'm at a loss. Anybody have any ideas?

Check the opti harness and the coil wire to see if they are hooked up properly. If so, either the opti is indexed incorrectly or the rotor detached.

If its a later model opti, '95-'97 then there is one of three ways that it can appear to seat on the cam, but only one way will it be completely flush. The cam dowel pin needs to go in the hole with the little square:

It will never crank if it wasnt put on the cam dowel pin correctly. Double check all your connections...if no dice might have to take it back off. I just had to replace my opti last weekend...no matter how many times I do it, its still a PITA.

Ok, I went in and checked the opti and sure enough it was in wrong. So I put it in again and checked and rechecked and put it all back together and what do ya know I did it right this time. Started right up. Problem is that I started chasing down this misfire and replaced the plugs, wires, coil, and now opti. Car is still running with a misfire when warmed up. Way down on power during full throttle. I am at a loss now.

that was one of my fist thoughts too, fuel pump, fuel filter.
Also of note, problems can be caused when warmed up by a number of issues. For example if its been running rich the O2s can quickly become fouled.
It would also help if we new a little bit more about the car, year, mileage, what mods have been done, what has been replaced etc.

It's a 95 camaro. Has 140,000 miles on it. Pump is two years old, fuel filter maybe a year and a half. Has CAI, smooth elbow, long tubes, OR/Y, Magnaflow, Built A4 with 3200 Stall and a tune.
O2's are stock 140,000 miles. So is the ICM. How do you check fuel pressure?
