Default New NA LS Pump Gas record?

We finally got the track to cooperate with us and managed to make a few clean 1/4 mile passes before the track started going away. The air was much better later in the night, but the track was junk by that time. We didn't get to run the radial slicks yet, but the Hoosier bias slicks netted us a 9.39@141 with a 1.29 60ft. Sheila also had a few passes that would have easily been
9.35-9.36 if it would have stuck at the hit. She ran one 9.43 with a 1.38 60ft also. The car definitely has more in it.

I'm not sure what the LS NA Pump Gas record is, but that 9.39 should it cover it pretty easy. It was a great night of racing with a lot of LS1Tech members out beating down the 1320.

Great runs.

Erik Koenig is the man for sure !!!

Guess you dont need race gas and fancy braces on the rear to run fast.

Actually the DS Loop is on our mid 11 second Camaro SS (mine) bracket car that she now drives to work every day. We have the same DS loop on this car though. That's why I wanted it so bad.

Thanks guys!!!!!

Awesome runs! I'm hoping to find out what my new pump gas N/A motor will run at the Motorplex next weeked. BTW, it ran 5.88 and 5.89 at over 117 a couple of weeks ago in the 1/8th mile on 9" Hoosier radials. I put the 10.5" radials on today just because my 9" slicks are about wore out. I'm a bit worried that the converter may be loose on the big end...we'll find out.

Good luck. Are you guys going to PINKS at NPR or the Motorplex? Take care. Dave

Man Dave you are gonna be way on down there if you can get some clean passes in. You will likely be the one to beat in the NA pump gas game.

Good luck man!!!!

Sorry for the thread hijack, didnt want to clutter with my own. But what are we calling the fastest N/A 6 speed pump gas street driven (not trailer only) car? That sounds lame even putting that many labels on something. I take it in the 9.8 range?

What did the guy who won the HOT ROD Pump Gas Drags run? He won it a few years ago with an LSx car. I thought he ran times similar to those, i'm not sure though, maybe someone can chime in.

Steve Reinhard is the guy you're referring to, and that car was on the juice, not N/A. Best pass on pump swill that weekend was 9.10

Ran the car down at No Problem Raceway for Pinks All Out...I did not get any clean runs due to shifter problems...2nd gear would not engage except the one time I spun real bad (cold track, end of Friday night). So, going 1st-to-3rd gear, it went 9.48-9.62 at up to 144.53 mph. My 1/8th-miles were 6.10-6.25 vs. 5.86-5.95 earlier in the month with the shifter not messed up. I did not want to mess with it as they are looking for consistency. Plus, I need to put the limiters on the car as it was hitting the bars too hard and unloading...60's were bad as a result, 1.40-1.51 vs. 1.28-1.33 normal range. Oh, well.

It should run quite well once I get those issues worked out. We'll be at the Ennis Pinks All Out, too. Take care. Dave
