Default Went to town on my new paint...wet sand/buff

(I'm still not done, I still have to sand & buff the front/rear bumpers & tail panel)

I spent A LOT of time working on taking the orange peel off of my 'fresh' paint job. (painted at the end of OCT)

1500 & 2000 wet sand...

I first experimented on the passenger qtr so it's had already been 1500/2000 wet sanded & wool pad/medium compound then foam pad/glaze...it still needs to be hit with the egg carton/swirl remover (the entire car still needs this)

almost done, I'll get better pics this weekend when I wash it:

dirty pic

Is that satin black? Is that a zr1 inspired hood window?
Very interesting build

The paint code is PXR...it just looks 'satin-like' cause the clear coat has been wet sanded.
OR
Are you talking about the cowl stripes? If so they're flat black.

Yes the window was inspired by the new ZR1.

Thank you sir.

They were painted PXR to match my paint.
* sanded down
* etching primer
* base coat
* clear coat

I had them painted when I first bought them at the of '03 (new)...but they were painted regular black to match my old paint code.
