Default LM1 with Electric cutout?

While running a LM1 catback, will i notice any difference in sound when the cutout is open?

If not, will i notice anything different if i was using an LM2?

Assuming the cutout is right in the middle of your whole exhaust system, then it would be much louder. Usually with a cutout, you lose tq down low but gain hp up top. That's obviously when the cutout is open.

I don't think it would be much louder (maybe incar), but it would sound different. I don't think you would gain any power with a cutout on a LM.

You will notice a sound change. As far as a HP gain, wouldn't be much if any. What are your current modifications?

The LM1 is pretty much the loudest exhaust out there besides true duals dumped. Adding a cutout is just trying to be obnoxious.

Believe it or not, the SLP LM resonator does function as a resonator. It alters the note of exhaust while maintaining the decibel rating. A cutout will make the car sound a little deeper (depending on your tailpipes' diameter of course) but raspier. You won't notice too much HP gain, but your TQ curve may be lazy due to the lack of exhaust velocity. With the LM2, you'll maintain the same power while keeping the sound a little quieter. That may suit your better if you're really planning on going with a cutout. Why have a loud, free-flowing exhaust initially, and then use a cutout? The only reason I can see is just because of the sound.

Not really going for hp gain with the cutout. The idea is to have something that is streetable with a good sound when the cutout is closed, and just to be loud and noisy when its open. Do you think LM2 and e-cut out would better suit this?

Edit: Car has Pacesetter Long tubes and the coresponding Y pipe, and o2 sims and whatnot...nothing else power oriented yet.
