Default NAPA alternators?

Anyone have any experience with Napa alternators? The ones off ebay are $50 cheaper, but i remember some threads having problems with them. They have a 1 year warranty, the Napa has a 3 year. Plus its local, nothing to mail back and wait for... Anyone have any recommendations?

Yeah, I recommend an Advance Auto Pro-Star alternator. Lifetime warranty. $149

I have a 1,000 watt amp and it runs everything perfectly, including my 427ci at 7,000 rpm

I have friends that have been running them with no problems for 5 years.

It has nothing to do with the place you buy it from...its the Pro-Start brand.

I've never heard of anyone ever having a problem with them and I know dozens of people down here that use them. Its pretty much the alternator of choice around here. Mine is doing great too.

I had an upgraded NAPA lifetime warranty alternator on my Suburban that crapped out. I took it in with my receipt and they replaced it.
