would be a decent gain. flowmaster sounds good but is one of the worst flowing catbacks on the LS1. loudmouth is really good with flow being pretty much straight thru. if u like the flowmaster sound, u could get a cutout

That you would be going from a Flow to a LM1, I think that the Flowmaster sounds damn good but on trucks and old hotrods etc. So if I was you I would go with something difftent not just LM1 there are many diffrerent exahaust systems out there try this place www.ls1sounds.com

I would go w/a Magnaflow catback it is around the same price as Flowmaster & LM-1 .

I don't know if your flowmaster system is welded, but if it's not
you might be able to just swap out the muffler. You could replace
the flowmaster with a magnaflow or hooker muffler. They both flow
really well. I don't know if the dimensions of the mufflers are exactly
the same but I bet you could make it work.

Personally I bought the SLP LM2 & I got tired of it in 3 or 4 days.
I sold it & went with magnaflow. I really like it now. GMMG is my
favorite system. I just couldn't afford it. I'm not a big fan of the
SLP LM1. The exhaust note is just way too unrefined to me.
As mentioned earlier check out ls1sounds.com & figure out which
you like best.

Agreed, and Magnaflow tends to hide small cams too.

I would rather have hp loss from the flowmaster than the nasty farm truck sound of the lm1

I agree on checking out magnaflow or something else

If you plan on taking the car to the track, some tracks require a "muffler" in certain classes and a LM1 does not meet that requirement. Plus the sound of the LM1 is either decent or crappy, depending on what cam is under the hood. Been there, done that. Better to go with a Flowmaster or Magnaflow with an eCutout.
