Default Here is a Corvette DD install for you to see

I have been watching and reading everyones post about what everyone has put into thier cars mainly Firebird and Camaros. So i thought I would share my current setup which will be changing in a couple months as soon as the weather allows me to get the car out of storage.

This current setup has been in the car for two years now. The entire install was done by a forum member who some of you might know...Pentavolvo.

I first must say Greg is the man for audio if you need an install in the Chicagoland area. He has helped me over the last couple years with any question i would have asked and is an asset to everyforum i am on as he is right there providing help to everyone.

I was one of the first to do a double din install in a C5 Corvette so Greg and I both had a challenge with not having much to go by for directions for the install.

I made the bezel myself that is currently in the car. Like Firebirds and Camaros the C5 came with a 1.5 din head unit so alot of work had to be done to make the change. After the 1st of my now many C5 bezels was done I hooked up with Greg to install the following in the car

Kenwood DDX 6019
kenwood kna-g510 nav
Kenwood sirken1 sirius tuner
Elemental designs edi 6000 front components
Infinity 6012si shallow mount for rear fill
Subthump sub box
Elemental Designs 13 Kv2 12 inch sub ( now has a alpine swr-1242d)
Jl Audio E 6450 6 channel amp
All Knuconceptz wiring and amp kits

The sound if this setup is amazing in a small compartment like a vette has.

This spring I am tweaking the setup a little and Greg will be changing the following
front components will now be Elemental degins e 9.65i series
current front ED 6000 components we will try to move to back for rear fill
adding a Elemental designs Nine.2x 600 w amp to power the soon the be released Elemental Designs e 5.12 12 in sub

I am also chcaning out the current bezel as I have since made a new one with it, console, gauge cluster being sent out for covering in black carbon fiber.
I already have my custom black carbon fiber compartment covers and new sub box covers now just waiting to be installed. See pics below.

Ok now with the pics...i must note for anyone who is wanting to or thinking about a new system...spend the extra few bucks and go double din. Its worth every penny!

The new rear covers and sub box top

And of course the car everything is in

Wow, I must say you've got one hell of a C5. Seeing how clean your Double DIN install is makes me want to sell my CETA and pick up a vette and do the same mods. I've always wanted one but I don't know whats holding me back. Regardless, thats a clean car and a clean audio setup, kudos man.

Don't burn the money on rear fill, use the extra power to run the 9.65s active.
