Jeff Gilbert has gone 9.0s with his blown TA. Stock intake and PCM, I assume opti too.

I thought of him too but Z8's I think fits the category and has gone 8.92. Maybe he will get in here and chyme in.

any opti problems? im in a big debate right now wit my build i have a 9.80 goal dont want to switch to a distributor and feel coil pack conversion is to much and not totally worth it. is the opti relyable enough to stick with?

My understanding is it's not the reliability of the opti per-se, but the speed you plan to spin it at. While the crazy dude who chucked an opti into a drill and revved the **** out of it with a ammeter connected, proved that it can still managed to pick up a signal at around 13K RPMs, it's really not a certain thing for everyone LOL Considering there are many more "failure" stories about them crapping out at/over 7K.
