what oil filter

A lot of people run the short AC/Delco PF454 with Kooks headers. Considering the nature of the LPP's, I would think it would work with those headers as well. There are probably other short filter alternatives. I would do a search on Kooks headers and see what other filters people may be running. I bought some short Amsoil EaO filters that cross referenced to the PF454. If you're interested, I can get the filter number.

lol You guys crack me up. With the exception of Elliot, BizZ and BTC, you are missing the question me thinks. I don't think he's too worried about the BRAND, but the part number for the correct SIZED filter!

Use the remote mount filter setup off a 4x4 4.3L Blazer/Bravada then Move the filter up inside the engine compartment then. My friend does that all the time with V8 S10 swaps heh

The PF454 fits fine with Kooks, and should fit fine with LPP's. There should be no need to remove the headers if you get the correct size filter. Does your car have the factory oil cooler? If so, it must be removed. That's a requirement with Kooks, and I would assume LPP's.
