Default MAF Cleaning Power Gains?

Hey guys I am going to clean my MAF pretty soon and i am wondering how hard it is and what kind of gains if any i can be expecting. I have a 96 TA with 195,000 miles on it and i'm pretty sure it has never been cleaned.

What makes you think it needs to be cleaned? It's really not that difficult, but don't expect a SOTP difference.

With that many miles, I would clean it too. Use electronic parts cleaner. Remove the MAF and spray the inside and make sure you spray the little wires in the middle. But, don't touch anything! Don't use any rags or napkins or wipe anything, just spray it down and let it dry. The little sensor wires are very easily damaged. You may feel a difference, or you may not notice anything at all, if you do, that only means that it's been dirty for a while.

I think this is something very easy to do. As long as you are careful and don't touch the inside of the MAF except to spray the inside with electronics parts cleaner, then there is really nothing that can go wrong.

Just use MAF cleaner and you'll be fine. Don't touch the wires.

Ok here is the deal. Clean it, but use a lint free wipe and maf cleaner. (q-tips can snag the ends of the elements, due to their material. Be careful and watch the ends of the elements.
