havnt heard about rubber, but ive heard of exhaust shops welding on an extra bracket to keep them separated.
the only rubber i can think of that can MAYBE withstand the heat of exhaust is heater hose.

this is just in time, I took my LT1 to a shop in HB today to get the bumping looked at and they said the fix is to remove the Ypipe and add a "curved piece" where the bump occurs, fixing to go get it done tomorrow.
I found the Thunder Racing Mufflex LS1 Ypipe bump stop hanger, http://www.thunderracing.com/catalog...id=528&pcid=54,
will this work on an LT1?
I need to know before I go back tomorrow to get it done.
