Default Fuel pump?

Alright guys i have a 98SS with an Incon Twin Turbo kit I have an External Aeromotive pro Series pump with a sump tank.I was wondering if theres anything I could do with my fuel system to make it more street friendly.Could I run another external pump on the passenger side for the street and put a switch on the bigger one for when I need to use it.Is that possible or any suggestions?

The pro-series pump can be used on the street but with limited use. It must be used with a 16306 speed pump controller to get any drivabilty out of it. Chances are you don't need the pro-series and can drop down to a smaller pump that will work great for you. How much power are you making and what size it the outlet port on your tank that feeds the pump?

So your making around 880hp at the crank. A A1000 (11101) will support 1000hp at the crank and will handle the street driving with no issues. You need to find out what the outlet is on your tank so I can make sure it will work with the pump. Nothing kills a pump quicker than a restriction on the suction side. I can map out a system that will work great for you for many years of fun!

Do you know what brand of sump it is? Some sumps have NPT ports while others have AN. You will need at least 10AN or 5/8" NPT ports on the sump.

Not really because you can have 6AN outlet port on the sump with a 6AN to 12AN fitting. Sure the line is 12AN but it is reduced down to a 6AN in the tank. Not saying this is what you have but line size it not a clear indicator of port size.

very tough to tell but it is possibly a 10 or a 12.... If I had to guess I would say 10 because most filters that I have seen have the 10an unless you order different.

That filter does not look good. Can you take it off and take it apart and post up some pictures of the filter element?

the filter is small i have used Aeromotive in the past and they dont like alot of pressure and the a 1000 is to small for that power . I run a weldon with a weldon controller . Just get you a good controller and run the pump you have . I have also done the 2 pump set up a aeromotive a 1200 and a weldon2345 used the NOS controller on my FAST to turn the weldon on anything above 40% throttle worked great. I drove the car alot back then over a 100 miles a week. Started shaving weight and so 2 filters 1 pump and 2 check valves and 1 y and all the hose was 20 lbs or so. I still have the check valves and the Y if you are going that way. pm me

tell us what size wrench fits on those fittings, that will tell the fitting size...

I agree with checking the filter.

The filter looks to be 8AN with a either a brass or screen disk filter. This is no good for Aeromotive pumps. You really need to find out what size outlet fittings you have on your sump.
