Re: What cam won't set a misfire code??
I'm thinking the 222 maybe 224 range is about the max.
But if you want the max out of the cam you need tuning.
If your gonna get it tuned w/edit might as well deal with the missfire DTC in the PCM.
But then you can go with a bigger cam....
Maybe what I'm tring to say is look at the big picture & what you want out of the car.
If you do internal engine modd's your gonna need tuning.(to get the most of it)
So you might as well go with the combo that will achieve your goals & plan accordinly.

Re: What cam won't set a misfire code??
I have the tr220 112lsa cam for about month now and no misfire codes so far.
A buddy with the TR224 114lsa cam, has throw the code a few times though.

Re: What cam won't set a misfire code??
I have tuned 100's of cars and the biggest I have seen not set a misfire is a 210/216 or a 03 ZO6 cam. NO matter what you do you need to have it tuned because you will not be reaching the full potential of the cam, in RPM range or with timing you will need to have a bit of stuff adjusted.
