Sad day indeed, Crashed my Goat.. Please help..!!
Long story short i was driving in the rain, my tire popped.. Lost control and ran into a curb.. My suspension took most of the damage unfortunetly
Damage is about 5000.00 But luckily all is fixable.
My questions are:
1.) How much do you all think my insurance will go up? I currently pay 125.00 a month, with 1 ticket only for speeding. Which was 1 year ago.
2.) How hard is it to find a drift r rim size 19x9 because i heard they now only make 19x10?
3.) Will this go on my driving record as a point? There was not a police report involved because there was 0 property damage and nobody was injured. But I heard that the insurance company is going to report it and the dmv will add it to my record as a point?
As you know i am in a deep state of depression, but I took my car to ALL MAGIC body shop in Norco Ca where i have heard nothing but great things about..
Any input would be appreciated. thanks.

If the tire popped wouldn't that be classified as mechanical failure, and not impact insurance rates? Or does that depend on the insurance co? I guess it just strikes me as a tire blowing isn't your fault so why should insurance go up. But then, sometimes how I think insurance should work and how it actually does are two different things...

At first I didn't see where you wrecked, (SKIMMED OVER IT) I was expecting more visble damage (like a front end collision or something)...but then I actually read your post.
Good luck with everything.

Sorry to hear about your Goat man, hopefully it will be back on the road soon.
Anything collision related will effect your rates regardless if it's mechanical failure or not.

Find out if what your insurance covers for small claims and leave it at that
If the rates will go up just take care of it yourself and keep them in the dark.
If my rates went up id be pretty mad. Think ahead before you get the horns.

I knew when i impacted that the damage was going to be in the thousands, and thought about fixing everything myself, but i decided to just go ahead and use the insurance and hope that it doesnt add a point to my record.

well that will depend on if those tires are rated for your vehicle, on the side of the tire will be a weight, times it by 4, then you look on the total weight of your car, if the tire weight is less than the weight of your car then it would not be a mechanical failure it would be a user error fault. Those tires look pretty skinny for your goat.

Just spoke with the adjuster from the ins.
their restoring the car completely to how it was before the accident. I'm responsible for the 500.00 deductible. And their saying that a new tire is going to be needed so their charging me 60% of the price of a new tire. Which is kind of lame because the adjuster said the tire was near bald.. which i know for sure is not true because they have about 50% tread left..
