Good numbers.... His setup actually put more hp down than my polluter did on motor but was a tad shy on torque... but then again the dyno was acting funny with his car.... didnt really get any solid good reading pulls.... He was spinning our mototrs to about 6700-6800

"didn't they supposedly make 451 rwhp with stock everything????"

yeah....supposedly is the key word.

i beleive it was done with most of the major bolt ons...ls6 intake, headers, duals. but i'm pretty sure it was long before the FAST came out.

nobody has come close to hitting that mark with stock heads and the TRex.

something had to be creatively tuned to get those results

are you saying that mid 400s are not possible cam only?

do you have a graph of the run? and was this on a mustang or dynojet

i actually thought the numbers would be a little higher with that large of a cam. still not bad though, and if it makes you happy thats all that matters!

yea i have a graph but the dyno was not reeding right so i dont no how acurite those numbers were it had something to do with the wire they clip on to your spark plug wire. it was not reading the hole time so it just got bits and pices on the graph. but it was a dynojet

I have the dyno graphs from Jason99TA's car when it did 451RWHP. It was run with open headers and 18" extensions. The car made the HP. It WAS SAE corrected. It was setup just as Jason raced it. Shortbelt and open headers. No dyno tricks. I can't help that the car made the power. I have had other customers duplicate the results and many more make 435-440. It really all comes down to the individual car. Take the extra time to degree the cam in and pay attention to ALL of the details and it is very doable. Rodney's car only dyno'd 440ish but went 10.20's...

I just heard from another customer last Friday that his car did 505RWHP with a TRex, a set of Tony Mamo'd AFR 205's, a FAST 90 and some compression...

Shane

i believe you....and i wasn't trying to really trash talk your company. but i realize it kindda sounded like it.

i guess i was trying to point out that things have to be truely maximized to make that kind of power.

some guys get the impression they can put that kind of a cam in a basic bolt on car and make 450rwhp....and then are disappointed when they make 410.
short belt, open headers and PERFECT tuning are NOT what most people run.

now that's just badass....and i have no problem believing it!!!

No problem, its all good Sometimes we tend to take things personally. There was alot of work involved in developing that cam. I can't tell you how many cam swaps Jason and I did over that time period. I believe we wore out the cam bearings trying cams in that motor...

If you knew how many times I've tried NOT to sell a TRex I promise you would be shocked. I always give all of the downsides to this cam. The most important part of my job is to manage my customer's expectations. I do my best to make sure every person I talk to is as educated about the product or service they are interested in as I can possibly help them be.

Thanks,
Shane
