Default Cant make up my dang mind

Well guys, I really can not make up my mind on this one. Pro Charged 383 or Pro Charged 350. (With complete top end package..I.E. Heads, Cam, P&P Ect..Ect..) The current motor only has 43k miles. I am having troubles deciding on this one. Car will be a street car, maybe hit the track once a year.

(Pro Charged..As in Supercharged, Not going turbo. I have already owned a lot of turbo cars. Never a SC one)

nothing wrong with having more cubes

just make sure you got a decent bottom end to support the boost

Yeah, only thing I am worried about. But at any rate, car would be trailered to a shop to be dyno tuned after

S/C 350 (assuming stock-bottom end) with a heads and cam package will make more power than a stock-headed 383, but somewhat less reliably than a 383 using all forged components.

S/C 383 will make less power than a heads/cam 350, but you wouldn't need to worry about the bottom end.

IMO (as this is the going trend with me lately), save and do it right the first time and do both. Sometimes we get hasty and want the power before we have the money.

Put a blower on it now, have fun with it, mean while saving for a new motor when the time comes. A blower would be fun, I can't say I havent thought about it my self.

I think the 350 would wind up faster.

Well money is not an issue. The big issue is just taking out the 350 and putting the 383 in. Its something I know how and can do myself. I just do not know if I feel motivated enough at this point to take on a project of that size...i have just been real unmotivated with everything as of late.

Ok, Well I was thinking about it. And I am seriously thinking about sticking with the 350. Cam, Heads, P&P Intake and of course Pro Charger SC (Basic Bolt on's also) Now do not flame as the search is still locking up my damn browser and I tried searching multiple times until I got sick of the lock up. But at any rate, with a good tune and running 7psi will my stock bottom end be able to handle it? (43k miles) If I am going to have to worry about stuff breaking on me then blown 383 it is

Ok, I know what I am going to do.

Going to go with a Cam/Head Package with mail order tune for my LT1 with the SC Kit. I will then order my 383. I will run my Blown 350 with the Cam/Head Package for the summer. Then this winter I will put in the 383. Any one want to put in there .02 cents?

Edit: I will be keeping the LT1 after I drop in the 383. Its always nice to have a back up engine
