Base vs Main Spark Tables (HPTuners)
In HPTuners, it says in the help files:
"Main Spark Table Selects
If either of these TPS or MPH values is exceeded the VCM will select the Main Spark tables, otherwise the Base Spark tables are used. The value minus the hysteresis is required to revert back to the Base table from the Main tables.
TPS: This value is the Throttle Position required to disable the Main Spark tables
TPS Hysteresis: This value is added to the value above as the threshold to activate Main Spark table in relation to TPS.
Speed: This value is the Speed required to disable the Main Spark tables
Speed Hysteresis: This value is added to the value above as the threshold to activate Main Spark table in relation to speed. "
Shouldnt it say "enable the main spark tables"?

The "Base" is your parked / idle spark (hence
both MPH and TPS). Within the table are rows
for neutral / park and in-gear.
I would set the MPH to be pretty low, 10 MPH
or less but remember that MPH minus the
MPH_hysteresis value, had better still be more
than zero.

If you have ever had a car have a throttle hang until you get under X MPH check that setting. You'll think its throttle cracker but its not its timing. The difference in timing between the main and base/idle tables is enough to artificially add 2-400 RPM when your coasting.

The stock MPH for 99 and 2000 M6 Z28's is 43 mph, and the hysteresis is 3.0 mph. If your engine is mostly stock (bolt on's are cool) and you're just converting from an A4 to an M6, I'd keep everything as close to a stock M6 car of the same year as possible. I have an LS6 intake and no MAF on my car, and I left that setting stock at 43 and 3 and it works fine.
