Default Porting stock intake?

Hey guys.

I planned on putting an ls6 intake on my car. However, the one I purchased did not have egr provisions. I need one that does.

My question is, should I ge my ls1 intake ported? Will that be plentiful for my current mods?

mods are in my signature.

i believe that there is almost no room for porting on ls1 intakes, as theres no material to remove. A ported ls6 would be better.

why dont you just get rid of your egr system?? all you have to do now is put a block off plate on your manifolds. and if your headers are set up for egr as well, just transfer that plate to them.

ahhh, it all makes sense now. haha. i take granted of the fact that i dont have emissions testing.

i wouldnt worry about porting the ls1 intake. who did you buy it from. if it was from a store and not a person, then i would call them and explain what happened. im sure they would understand.

very bad idea

just go with a 78mm FAST and use the egr, or try to find a egr ls6 made by SLP. good luck with that.

no seriously, drill a hole in the ls6, theres many ways to go from there, "epoxy away" is the simplest, but yes dumb... you can put a brass fitting into the plastic, or tap the plastic, sleeve the plastic with steel, many options

Do not waste your time trying to port an LS1 or LS6 intake. More than likely you're going to lose power, and money.

Either leave it alone, or save up for an upgraded part that coincides with the emission requirements of your location.
