check gauges light with low fuel
did all of the 4th gen's do this?
i have a 98' and i have run the fuel down really low before (needle was below the red empty line.. i put around 13.5gal in) and my check gauges light has never come on
just wondering if there was specific years for that, or maybe my gauge is a little off?

Okay, so what's the deal with the spelling of "GAGES?" I refuse to believe that an American car company dealing in trillions of dollars of technological research couldn't ask some 5th grader off of the street on how to spell properly? There has to be a reason for "GAGES."

heres something i found with a quick google search:
"Gage and gauge are interchangaeble. It's not a typo, just an alternate spelling. Kind of like judgement and judgment."
im assuming since they were built in canada they used gage instead of gauge.. thats my guess.. even on gm.com it talks about a "check gauges" light
kinda like how they spell neighbor weird

How can you "refuse to believe" when the clodhoppers running what WAS one of the most prestigious auto manufacturers in the world, have run it straight into the ground.......
Oh, yeah. Anyway, "gage" seems to be a commonly accepted spelling of "gauge". Although is does look a bit foreign................

Looked up fuel level specifications in my helms today out of curiosity. Fuel "gage" (LOL) display E -resistance 40-82 OHMs - fuel level 0-11%. Check "gages" indicator on - 90 OHMS - fuel level 15%.
