They are an OE replacement for the LS1 engines. No upgrades or anything, just packaged in a set of 16 by GM which saves you money. We run them in many of the cars we build. They are not bad lifter for the average street car.

Casting number on case is same, internals are identical. GM superceded a couple old part numbers and you can buy them individually now, but for about $60 each. OR, buy them in a set of 16 from us for $119. They are a standard GM lifter that'll work in an LS1, LT1, older SBC, V6 cars, etc. They are not an upgrade perse, unless your existing lifters are worn out and need replaced!

Depends on which springs/camshaft you run.

-I replaced a set of Comp R's that I had some issues with.
Comp R's are tricky to set up.
These are my cam specs..236/242 .615”/.612” 111LSA
Like I said.XFI lobes..Which are faster than XE-Rs but not as aggressive as LSK's..LSk's require solid roller...Comp said solids should be run with XFI's also, but somehow LS7s seem to be doing OK.

Come again? Who told you that? MANY run the LSK/XFI/XeR lobes on hydraulic lifters every day. It's not a big deal really.

I just looked on their latest online catalog. The XFI's are now listed as 'hydraulic roller'.
I don't even see LSK's listed anymore.
Trust me..I agonized over lifter choice when I was putting this combo together 2 years ago.
I distinctly remember seeing 'XFI/solid roller' in print.
Maybe they assumed that when they engineered those profiles, that they assumed that a hydraulic roller wasn't up to the challenge & that they we erring on the side of caution
I dunno..I just remember sweating it a little..But your shop(amogst other ppl) told me not to worry.
You were right..What can I say?
