Yeah i hear you, thats kinda why i started this. I drove my car to the track 4 times last summer, its an hour and a half drive. My car was pretty much stock but my clutch started giving out and you get worried about driving home. This summer I will have alot more work done, mostly to keep it more reilable on the track, but I dont have a trailer either. So I'm just going for it and hoped to hear from people running alot faster than me but still hope to drive home.

Thanks guys

I drove my car to the track with an aluminum jack, slicks, tool box, jackstands, and air tank in my car 25+ times last year. My n/a times are in my sig. It was pretty cool to put someone on the trailer and pass their tow rig on the drive home every weekend... lol

I drive mine to and from the track which is about 230 miles roundtrip. I can even squeeze 18 mpg if I stick to the speed limit.

I don't drive mine to the track, just because I don't want to break down 21/2 hours away. I do drive the crap out of it around town, and a normal sat. night out usually includes 2-3 hours of driving. Also, a few runs in there too. I've been 9.78 so far, hoping to hit the bottom 9's, maybe a high 8 this summer. Full weight, full interior, radio and a/c kicking. Its FL and I'm fat. haha

few weeks back i packed up four tires, jack, tool box, impact gun, and my girlfriend and drove 100 miles to the track, changed tires and clicked off a new best of 10.74 @ 128.2 and drove home

i was pretty friggen excited man, going for faster next time out

(wanna know the crazy thing, i have a 2007 F150 that is very capable of towing it and easy access to a friends trailer, but i just like the idea of driving it and running those times so thats why i do it)
