Identifying a true LS6 intake????
What is the easiest way to determine if an intake manifold is truly an LS6? I would imagine some sort of casting # and what not but anything else? Obviously no E.G.R right?

take a look at the frontend underside of the intake (just under the throttle body) should be flat from oneside to the other. LS1 will have a dip.

and yes casting #. But some you can get with E.G.R. so that means nothing as far as differentiating them. Easiest way by far is to get the casting #. If you know it i can tell you if its a ls6 intake

- The Ls6 intake has many different part numbers buts its the same intake
- The only way to tell 100% if you are buying an ls6 intake, especially used is to ask for pics of the bottom. The vette LS1 intake does not have an EGR provision so its easy to pass that off as an LS6 if you are none the wiser. Check the website below.
