Default car holds rpm after tune

just got done doing an auto swap and getting it tuned but now the car likes to hold 2000 rpm when going down the road even if i put it in nuetral while coasting it stays at 2000 until i stop.so the car will gain speed on its on, not sure what it would be.

Mine does the same, I didn't do a tranny swap or anything but on my M6 after the tune, if I hold in the clutch it will stay around 1500 until I come to a complete stop. Something with the IAC tables I was told. I just never got a retune to take care of it. I will when I get the fuel pump, and injectors.

Check your throttle cracker tables out, they are probably too high. They are based on mph and you will only go into an idle state below 2 mph.

I don't think this is correct.

The throttle follower tables control the rate of closing of the TP.

The cracker tables follow the opening.

When my m6 swap was done Had the same problem, chased and chased it till I finally found out that the throttle body decided to become slightly sticky and hold open just enough to cause 1500-2100 rpm constant hold.

Would go to the engine bay and attempt to fix / close the tb the changes I had made to tune to figure out what was going on was causing it to high idle while the throttle was closed- ( basically tuning was done wrong from the over sight of the TB ) - Good luck -

Get a stock M6 file and do a compare - and double check that everything for idle and idle control are set proper. If everything is- Get outta the tune and look for leaks and such - I spent to much time thinkin I over looked something in the tune cause the 224 cam and m6-

this happens to me sometimes. usually after i mess with my throttle body, such as revving it by hand at the throttle body. so sometimes the spring or whatever doesn't retract it all the way back and the tb gets stuck open slightly causing it to keep the rpm's up. so i just pull the throttle body closed as far as it can a couple times. sometimes that fixes it sometimes it will keep idling high for a while but usually fixes itself out after driving it for a while.
