Default Where is the cheapest place to get dealer only parts?

I need a driver side sun visor in Ebony for my SS. I had a friend who was a parts manager @ a Stealership, and used to get me parts @ cost. He doesn't work there anymore, and now I need to find a hook up.

I could not find them on gmpartsdirect.com. The sponsor on the board who is a dealership gave me a higher price then my local dealership.

Any Ideas where to look?

I picked one up recently (driver's side) for $10 bucks at a local junkyard that now looks nicer than my passenger's side visor!

What's wrong with the old one? If the rivet stripped out and it fell off that can be repaired. Or is the fabric damaged?

Yeah, mine too. I can show you how to fix it. I posted my fix in another thread ages ago:

Bidding on a pair of mounts on ebay that end today for $15. There are a lot of sun visors on ebay right now. Really don't want to pay the price for a used one.

The first one **** the bed @ 5 years old and the second @ 8 years old (last summer)

Used may not last that long. I will rebuild the one that comes out when I replace it.

Well, the new ones came in from ebay, but..........A little too late. I rebuilt the old one. easy as hell. used a tap to put threads in the shaft and put a bolt and washer in. works great.
