Default LE2 and a Vortech

What do you guys think could be expected with an LE2 head/cam combo and a Vortech Intercooled system............yes I know that will proabally damage the motor on stock internals but don't worry it'll get rebuilt before it would get any upgrades of the sorts.

I would tell Lloyd to make you a custom grind cam for your FI needs. Also make sure that you are going to drop the compression ratio. No sense in getting a heads/cam combo made for NA and then strap on a blower...

Something like a 9:1. But you might want to search the FI forum for the most ideal compression ratio. You'll need to talk in depth with Lloyd to make your DCR where you want it to be, that's more important than the SCR.

Dynamic and static compression ratio. Taking measurements can give you your SCR, but your cam and valve events will help dictate your DCR.

Like I said, give Lloyd a call and see what he recommends.

I'd prefer not to juice....I like always having the power there...not it limited to a 15 pound bottle.

Totally understandable. Just throwing that out there because a Vortech is a lot of $$$. Either way, get that LE2 set up

If your looking for a place to do more research about building a FI LT1 i would hop on camaroz28.com, under the forced induction is 95% FI LT1 discussion.

Not to say that you wont get good answers here but over there is much more specific. I will try to help you but you not gave some cruical info.

what is your budget? Street or racecar? or a 60/40 split? Goals? If you have a budget of 12K plan on spending 15 or 16. Hidden costs come up quickly.

If you rebuild the motor you can make anywhere from 400-900rw(depending cubes, heads, compressor), but again you have not really told us what you want out of the car and what kind of money your working with.
