Default TB suggestions????

I have a 98 SS a4 that Im about to install an LS6 intake on. What would be the best TB for my application? I have LT's and full exhaust along with a Lid and stall as my other mods. Just port the stock one? Buy an LS6? Go with an aftermarket? Any help or ideas would be appreciated guys.

Thanks.

Port the stock one. Don't waste your cash on a new pile of garbage TB.

Any particular reason? Are most aftermarket ones just junk?

What about an LS6? Are there any benefits to swapping to that?

Sorry for all the q's guys but I really like to know what Im doing before I buy something.

The LS6 intake will perform great and don't worry just save your money for more important mods and port the stock TB!

The LS6 and LS1 throttle bodies almost identical. By porting the stock one you save money and will see more of a gain than going aftermarket

For the money, yes a ported one is better. Now, if you want to go w/ an 85mm TB and lid, then have at it, but I don't see gains that are worth the cash.

I say go with a ported stocker. My car came with an ls6 intake stock and it has a ported and polished tb on it, and it flows great. For the money, there are better mods.
