thinking of going 4'' dump
Car is a twin 58mm with tubular headders. Currently running 3'' off each turbo, then y's to a 4'' mid pipe out over the axel then to dual 3'' outlets. The problem I have is where the 4" goes over the axel. It is crunched to about half it's original diameter. I am sure this is affecting my exhaust flow in a major way. If I was to dump the 4" before the Axel I am guessing this would greatly reduce back pressure. The current tune is very conservative 13#'s 11:1 a/f 13 degres of timing. making 698 to the tire. The car is going to be having 72# injectors and a tune done shortly @ rpm. May this cause me to run dangerously lean in the meanwhile? Also have any of you gone to a dump and regretted it? I've heard horror stories about the sound under the car? Any input is appreciated.

I have a 4 inch dp dumped right before the k.
I have a Gt4276. Believe it or not, i dont think it is that horrible loud the turbo quiets it down a lil bit.
Here is a 6 psi dyno vid

Looks through my vid's i have dyno and track runs and some launches on the 2 step all with the open 4 inch dp.
This is also a stock block low boost only 6 psi setup btw.

Remember, that BMR makes a panhard brace that allows a 4" pipe to go over the axle with out crunching the pipe.. Might be a option for you. You will get more noise by having it dumping to the ground instead of straight out the back.
