Default how do i make the most power on a stock bottom end ls1?????

hey all i love this website it has given me so much more knowledge about gm muscle and lets just say selling my mustang for an SS camaro was the best decision i ever made. now, im about to get into a great career making big bucks and i wanna mod the hell out of my car. since it only has 60K on the clock im gonna leave the stock bottom end in the car for now. im gonna do my suspension and 12 bolt rear end first but then i was wondering what heads, cam, intake, injectors etc i should use to make the most power i can. i see some cars with h/c/i making between 425 and 475 to the wheels. i want an 100 shot too eventually. let me know some good recommendations please. money wont be an issue as i will have plenty of time, no rush. thanks everyone!!!!!!

why are 90% of ford trucks still on the road? because only 10% made it home hahahahaha

There are many different directions you can go, all of which will be worthwhile to you and/or leave you wanting more. Suspension is a great place to start...obviously you know if can't hook it, doesn't matter where your HP/TQ levels are.
There are so many different combos of Heads/Cam/Intakes....Turbo/SC/Nitrous it would be hard to narrow in because everybody likes something different. Bang for your buck right now with a stock bottom end would be 100-150 shot of nitrous.
What year is your SS?? that can help you determine a lot before jumping into this with both feet.

Read all the stickies in the Gen III internal engine section. There's some good info on H/C/I/E setups for our cars.

i think the real question is, what are your plans for the car? daily driver, weekend warrior, or track car? once that is answered it would be a lot easier to help you

TSP has some nice combos that will save money rather than peiceing everything togethor. Just to name a few others that have some nice affordable stuff that makes big power are Vengeance and Cartek. but id definitely read that sticky in the Gen 3 internal section on h/c/i setups

My buddy made 421hp 396 tq with texas speed ms4 cam and ls6 intake and exhaust everything else was stock even the heads have never been off the car and texas speed has the worlds fastest stock bottom end F-Body and they use that cam there 1 7/8 headers and the PCS 215cc heads they sell and maken 500HP

they did fly cut the pistons to get the compression up but i talk to them and u can have those 215cc heads milled down to 59cc w/o flycutting pistons and get away w it.

Heads are only 2195, cam kit is 699, TSP 1 7/8 headers are 479...........so for about 4k you can get to 500hp

start with the stickies, bro. you leave a lot of questions to be answered. once you've read through the stickies, check out some of the threads that others have started, asking the same thing. you can get most of your questions answered just by using the search function. good luck to ya though!

my ss is a 2002 6 speed car. im gonna do my suspension first and also a 12 bolt with 3.73's w/ a detroit track tru differential. im gonna be driving big rigs and get a second car so this will be a weekend cruiser and a track car. looking for a way to make 500 rwhp all motor stock bottom end. doesnt have to be exactly 500 but i want it to be close. input is appreciated thanks guys oh yeah budget aint an issue cause i got time to build because i will be on the road for two weeks at a time then two days off. my goal is to hit 450-500 rwhp by this time next year.

Yeah, you need to do some research on your own. The information is endless on this site. But I can tell you this when you get ready to do heads and cam, it wont be just heads and cam. You'll be changing lifters, lifter trays, rod bolts, oil pump timing chain, stall, etc. Just do some bolt ons and have fun with the car, but if you wanna spend the money, then spend your time in the internal engine section, the info is there already.
