Angry Grand Prix GXP Eating Rotors and Pads

I have a 2007 Grand Prix GXP that is stock. The car has 21,000 miles on it. It was purchased in November 2007. In July 08 the dealer told me the pads up front needed replaced and the rotors needed replaced because they were starting to warp because of excessive heat. I had the dealer replace the pads and rotors. Now in march of 09 I just replaced the read pads and they said in the next few months I will probably need both front and back rotors again and pads up front. This seems kind of excessive with 21,000 miles on the car. This car eats pads and rotors. I always use the TAP shift to down shift and I dont beleive I am that hard on the car. Having to repalace pads and rotors every 9 to 10 months is getting old.

Does anyone have any ideas for aftermarket rotors and pads?

I was thinking about rotors from Disc Italia....Does any one know if they are any good?

Seems excessive for wear. W-Bodys do tend to eat the brakes, I've been replacing mine about every 25k miles give or take a little. I'm running the OEM AC Delco rotors, but a I know a few guys who swear by the R1 concepts brake rotors. No exprience with Disc Italia.

www.wundercarparts.com has a few different choices. Front X-Drilled raybestos rotors are 57 dollars per rotor. I suggest ceramic pads when you change them.

The pads are supposed to wear fast because they are "performance pads" and that is why they dust so much.

LOL, well at least that is what we are supposed to believe!

I just replaced my rotors (Raybestos) and the pads with Hawk Ceramics. We'll see how these hold up. Mine has 41kmi on it, and sometime in there the pads were changed to GM ceramics before I owned it (bought at 23kmi). So its already on its 3rd set of pads in 41kmi. Yikes. I have a feeling just changing to blank rotors would help a ton for pad life.
