Auto Trix Window Kit
Has anyone bought this kit? How well does your window work now? How hard and long did it take for you to install?? or is there a easier/cheaper way to fix slow moving windows?

i have one, it's nice, the pass side window fly's up and down, it was slower than drivers side but not since installing. didn't take long to install, and is basically just a hotwire kit supplying a seperate power source to the window instead of leaching off the driver side.

I just installed the driver's kit, let me tell you, it was a pain in the ***. My car has 28,000 miles on it. It's a 2002 SS. My driver's window was very slow. After the install, it's still the same. I know I wired it right as i'm an Electronic tech by trade. It just didn't help mine at all. There goes $130 bucks.

It IS a PITA to put in but it works VERY good. My pass window is faster than my drivers now. If you do get it make sure you can fit in back in the door panel as I didnt and it barely freaking fit.

Your window motor just might be going on regardless. The new one you put in eventually will be in there longer thanks to the kit.

It could be that your window needs to be regreased or the fact that the motor is just going out. Doesnt seem right but it is.

There are two kits for the driver window, one keeping the express down and also adding express up and one plain one.
IIRC the passenger one is $30 or something.
If only one window is acting up get that one. If they both are might as well get both.

Let me clear something up guys....Initially I was dissappointed with the Autotrix kit. As I got to looking at the door panel, I noticed one of my stabilizers on the driver's door was broken, which obviously could've put WAY too much strain on the window motor, and leaving the motor beyond resurrection. I left the kit on and replaced the drivers motor, hopefully it will work for a long time to come.
