Hose Mod or Remove Rubber Isolator???
Drag car only, do I need the 5/8" rubber hose or just remove the rubber isolator and leave the spring bare? There's not much space to slide the rubber hose onto the spring. Less than a 1/4". Is the hose used for cushioning or for decrease in noise? Thanks in advance.

dlove you're car must be slammed with that much of the spring cut off no?
I took the isolaters off, and took the springs and srfaced them so that they are about a 1/2 inch shorter overall (top and bottom on a large table sander... was a pita but it left a nice flat mounting surface on both sides of the springs) 1.5 coils off has got to lower the car alot no?
And how did you get the spring flattened out after you cut it to get a flat surface after cutting them, I have never seen how anyone does that and have always wondered....

I just pulled mine out last night, and put heater hose on. I'm considering removing the heater hose though, and putting the springs back in bare, without the hose it looks like it will drop about another 1/2 inch. My car used to sit retarded high, so I need all the drop I can get.

dont forget how light my car is. It sits a little lower than in my sig. Quarter panels are pulled and it tucks the 28's in it a little bit.

Got ya, you pulled the 1/4's. I was gonna ask that next.
I'm gonna probably end up doing a full 36 inch tub rather tehn a wolfe kit, so that way I can fit any tire on the car I want... when that gets done the 1/4's will probably get spread some being that they're gonna have to tack the tubs to the outer sheetmetal anyway.
PITA job to have done, but when I have a 29.5S tire tucked in there and I get the whole car dropped another 2 inches it's gonna look nasty.
Just debating now wether to bother with the adjustable spring perches when the job gets done, or just move the shocks inboard the frame rails and attach them to a bar that we can weld between the rails and support that with a couple thru the floor up to the cage.
