Default FAST 92/92 on a stock internal LS1

alright i have just a couple questions. for some reason the search isnt working. i have a stock head/internal 1998 LS1 and was curious if tossing on a FAST 92/92 with an 85mm MAF will whack out my engine too much on a stock tune. supporting mods include 1 3/4" LTs, ORY, SLP LM2, and MTI lid. i'll be running stock injectors and tune. would this be safe or just an incredibly lean timebomb?

probably be a good idea to tune it....or at least check the a/f

the fast leaned my h/c out quite a bit

I've been tempted a few times to upgrade the MAF, probably don't need to though. Here's a good thread on it:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...onversion.html

If you plan to keep your engine internals stock you probably won't benefit much from the fast intake either.

The fast is only really needed with H/C. Get an LS6 you'll be fine.

As for changing the MAF, Don't waste your time or money

might wanna leave the ls6 intake on for a SI car, another member gained nothing going from a LS6 and ported TB to a Fast 90...

Question

wouldnt a fast 92 be too much for a stock bottom end head cam car? Wouldnt it kill low end torque?

NO, it doesnt kill torque anywhere. I spent a lot of time researching before I bought mine and they almost always gain power and torque everywhere. Ive seen one where it lost some bottom end and many, many, dyno graphs where it gains everywhere.

I gained 20+rwhp with gains accross the board, with my 6.0L swapping from an LS2 intake(For you massls1guy).

Since my results were so good my brother just bolted a FAST 92mm intake on his 100% stock 2000 Camaro and hes called me a few times from back home telling me how amazed he is with the new power.
