header hitting k-member
Have any of you guys ever had a problem with Jet Hot LTs or any header hitting the K-member? Ever since i put these LTs in, one of the primaries hits the K-member.
Ive read that some people have problems with LTs hitting the excess thin metal on the K member that can be cut off. But mine is hitting the whole K member and its annoying when it rattles/rubs when i drive.

Same problem here. LPP's are hitting the k member. Gonna take a grinder with a cutout wheel to it tonight and solve the problem until a BMR Tubular unit can find its way underneath it.

Yup...I am currently in the process of fitting my Ebay, LPP copy LTs and it hit in a bunch of spots: I had to remove the remote oil cooler on the oil filter, cut out not only the thin metal ledge, but also a round spot in the K-member in 2 spots for two of the tubes to clear the frame. It's not a lot, but just enough to make installation drag on into today when I was anticipating them being done yesterday. I was actually just about to ask if this was a common problem or if I had a defect in the set I bought/geometry was off or something. Obviously it has arose before :-(

my jet hots hit on the pass. side. had to notch it. it will not hurt the frame. just cut to lines and hammer the middle into the kmember. done. then install the header. the factory Kmember is exremely strong. dont even worry bout it.
Ive installed quite a few sets of headers, and there all a bit diff. from car to car, header to header. (Im talking same name brand header to header). matter of fact, I could get you a pic of mine since the eng/Kmember is still out of the car in the garage.
