Default Opti ?

My brother has a 94 Camaro Z28 5.7L A4. He is going to replace his distributor (opti). He wants to know if there is a certain way for the new opti to go in place. Do u just put it in any way or does anything have to match up. Like for the timing to be right. It is a non vented opti..Thanx
