what if all 8 plugs arent gapped exactly the same?
just like the title says... what if all 8 plugs arent gapped identical? basically i just bought some TR-55 plugs and just checked the gap and i'm thinking about re-gapping all of them because they arent pre-gapped at .055 like everyone says.... i got a shitty coin style gap tool but it shows they are all gapped somewhere between .055 and .060.... they are all real close to the same but the gap isn't exactly .055...... any opinions?

no i'm not really that worried about it.... but at the same time it seems like everybody on here makes a pretty big deal out of what to gap to have on the TR-55 plugs... i bought some last year and they were all right at .055 so i was just wondering.... if they will be fine anywhere between .055 and .060 then i'll just say screw it and put them in as is.

yeah, i dont think it matters.
you just want to re check the gap cause shipping isn't too nice on all of them, but they do have those protectors on them.
i check all mine before i go in with them.

NGK recommends .060 for our cars in stock form. For every 50hp over stock you should subtract .004 of gap. Realistically anywhere from .055 to .060 will run fine. I would tend to stay closer to the .055. While we're discussing plugs, unless you run the juice why ditch the delco iridiums? A narrow tip only improves the quality and equality of the flame front for a more efficient (read powerful) burn. Not to mention the increase in plug life.

well i just hit 56k miles and still got the stock plugs so i figured i would get some new ones even tho my car runs fine (idles a little rough tho).... anyway the TR-55's are really cheap and seems to be by far the favorite plug for a pretty much stock ls1, so i got them... i'm just going to mess with the gap a little and try to get them all as close to .055 as i can.
