650-700 as long as the clutch is in good working shape and the car is not super heavy.

What kind of issues? More than likely they are shifting related due to the aluminum shift fork for 3-4 or bent shift keys in the 3-4 assembly. Those issues are not directly related to the power your car is making.

ding ding ding ding!!! we have a winner. Yeah, no power issues, just the ol 3rd 4th thing. Its been off an on for the last year or so, but seems like this year its every time i take it out of the garage, but only when i first get going for the day. but yeah, the classic 3rd and 4th grind like i have no clutch at all when i go to those gears. Ive learned to baby it until shes good and warm. Im gathering allllllllll my T56 threads and such as we speak to prepare for my very first tranny rebuild. I will probably (definetly is more like it) send you questions as i go. You helped me with my other issue a while back and from reading other stuff you've wrote on (your in just about all my saved tranny threads), i trust your advise. I already have some for you, but i will finish reading the manual before i take up your time, as im sure i will have a few more questions as i read on. .

I charge by the hour for bad advice and by the post for good advice.

Both of mine didn't seem to like the extra power to them but they took it for a little bit.

Mine's still kicking at 750rwhp/635rwtq. 3500lb w/driver leaving at 6k+. 1.38-1.45 60's. About 40 passes at that hp level. Quite a few more on top of that total as the combo has progressed from 400/500/600 hp,36-3900lbs, and 1.5-1.8 60'. How long she has till she is anyone's guess.

from "otherwhitemeat" on here, running a FI94x on a 383 LT1. "Btw I run a stock T56 for 3 years at over 900rwhp with zero issue...in fact its still working today. The problem in most cases is the driver, not the transmission. Mine is stock too and shifts like new yet. Push in the damn clutch when you shift, that solves most of the issues. I would like to add that "otherwhitemeat" was making over 1100whp last year and still didnt break his trans, and it gets alot of street action

Every car is different because most of us are not Evan Smith, or Ranger, and also prev drive use/abuse detract from the life expectancy. SSmokin01 is a guy to look at, he has been keeping his together for a while!
