Default Comp. port not working...

I went to plug my scan tool in and it will not turn on. So i went to plug the tool in to my truck it works fine. Ive checked all of the fuses but can not figure out whats going on. Here is the car info.
1996 T/A
Stock comp.
Did the wire mod


Any help with this would be help full. Everything was working fine and i let it sit most of the winter now this is happening.

Wire mod?

Is your tool setup for OBD2?

The wire mod for the pass. fender were the wires now go under the fender well. And yes the car runs but it sounds like only on 7 cyl. and yest the tool is obd 2 only.

So you checked all the fuses inside the car and under the hood?

Your Diag port is tied in with your Cigarette lighter. Check to see if your lighter works. If it doesnt, check the fuse on in the fuse block on the drivers side on the interior. Replace it. If it blows again, then there is most likely something wrong with your cigarette lighter. Unplug the entire Cig. unit and replace fuse. That should get you power to your port....
