i just recently bought a set of nitto dr's and have previously been running street tires. after swapping tires i have been running a slower et. my 60's and mph are nearly the same an i have not changed anything. could the tires be bogging it down? i seem to be losing something between 60ft and 330ft marks. anyone experience this and any ideas on how to correct? thanks

It's common to loose mph when going from street rires to drag radials or slicks but you should pick up et because you're not spinning as much. Try launching higher?

nitto's aren't the best choice.
what psi are you running them at?

What I can say is you need to list more info. Nitto in general when your going for a new PB is NOT the best tire but in certain situations they work well.

Here is a short list....

Car: (yr, make, model, engine size)
Transmission: (type, whether Auto or Manual, Stall size if needed)
Rear End: (10 bolt, 8.8 Ford, 9" Ford, 12 bolt, Gearing)
Suspension: (be it stock, or if you have added anything, whether it's adjustible)
Race Weight: (if possible or if not, what have you removed)
Engine Mods: (what is done, what hp/tq (not estimated))
Launch Techinique: (how do you leave?)
Settings: (ex. Tire PSI, Burnout techinique if any, suspension setting if adjustible)

This will yeild alot of info that can help us, help you.

From a Radial to Bias-ply I would agree but Street radial to Drag radial if it be the same size/dimension would not loose MPH, the only reason it would is if the driver aired down the tires a great deal compare to a pure street tire.

Example 245/50-16 Falken aired @ 32psi vs a 245/50-16 Nitto DR aired down to 18-24 psi. That I can see making the difference, not the tire itself.

it is a 00 ss basically stock. ls1 with auto and ten bolt with 3.23s( currently installing 3.73s). all stock suspension. car weighs about 3600lbs, im launching a little harder with the drag radials than i was with street tires bc they are hooking well. im running 20psi in the tires and they are 315/35/17s. first time to the track i ran a 8.64 at 83mph with a 2.00 60 on street tires. went back last weekend with the nittos and ran a 8.91 at 81mph with 1.90 60s. all with the same setup

I have nittos for my Stock rims, When my car was a catback only, I could NOT spin them at the track, 18psi and a John Force burn out. Car would bog anything less than 4k out of the hole or just pull threw at 4k, with 0 spin. ran a 1.9 60ft.
I also think Nittos are the best all around DRs, but MTs work much better at the track if your making good power. Wich is what I now have on my drag rims
There's guys that have gone 1.5s or better on Nitto's so they cant be that bad

Due to seeming having no stall or gearing above stock, that is why your not seeing the difference.

Also assuming stock PCM so the TQ management is still in place.
