Unhappy Monsoon radio stays on!!!!!!!!

I'm sure you are all familiar with the way the radio says on until you open a door. Well, lately mine has been staying on when I open my door and not turning off! I have to shut the door and open it again for it to turn off. Anyone have any ideas for a fix? Or should I just take it to the dealership?

Definitly a dealer thing... I'm sure you still have the warranty. Just hope it is acting up when they check it. Whenever I take my car in for fixing, the problem fixes itself when they go to work on it, then gets bad again when I get it back after they say nothing is wrong with it....

Same here... same went for my piston slap, ticking, lifter noise, whatever it was. I finally swapped pushrods, it came back, took it back to the dealer, went away, drove away from the dealership, it came back. The dealership is always like a black hole for automotive problems. The big problem is that it doesn't do it consitantly.

Ok, I figured out the problem, just dunno how to fix it. The latch is where the switch is, but the problem is that the latch doesn't open all the way, it kinda sticks just a little bit when traveling upwards. Has anyone messed with the lock mechanism on these doors?

I have the same problem, except the radio does turn off.

The passenger door doesn't lock or unlock all the way, I have to do it manually. I took apart the door panel to check if it was just a bad wire. Turns out the little motor/selenoid is toast. It works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. Haven't gone to see how much the fix would cost or how much the parts are. Out of Warranty

If you do find a fix post up anyways, i could be wrong

Prolly be best to take it in & have the entire latch assembly replaced.

Dont even screw around with it, it'll do it again.

It's not the lock mechanism... it's the latch. I also have manual door locks, so it wouldn't have to deal with the solenoid.

In cars w/ locks it is all one assembly.
