Default New clutch...and flywheel?

Well we ripped apart my car this morning to find that my clutch is in fact the original with over 125,000 miles on it. With my new cam/heads set up going in I'm thinking I could use a little upgrade especially with the shape that my stock one is in. My flywheel is also in bad shape. There is severe burning and glazing on it. My question is if I go with an aftermarket clutch should I, or do I need to, go with an aftermarket flywheel? Or will a good resurfacing for the flywheel do fine? Also I'm looking at a Spec Stage 3 clutch. What are your thoughts? Also would you reccomend an aluminum or a steel flywheel if I were to get a new one?

Definately go with a new flywheel doesn't have to be aftermarket, but resurfacing it wont work if its pretty ate up, i dont remember but i looked it up when i did mine what gm recommended the resurfacing depth was but it was some real low depth, i would just recommend a new flywheel, and good luck with that clutch mine lasted 'bout 7 months dont think there good in DD but they do feel great

dont get spec dont last long, i would just stay with a steel flywheel. aluminum will rev faster but you lose that torque off the line!

Yeah I have 2 buddies with Spec Stage 3's in their procharged LT1's both with no issues. I think I'll stick with that clutch. I've decided on a steel flywheel so the question now is to get the GMPP flywheel or a Spec flywheel? I'm looking to make around 400whp so which one?
