427 Solid roller pass

427 Solid roller pass
1st time out ran a 6.94 @ 99 with a 1.517 60 ft.
Car had 3/4 full gas tank and in full street trim except some wore out drag radials. Spun all thru 1st with a launch at 5k and trying to shift to 4th, wasn't sure if the rpm would make it. And this is on a lowered car with factory shocks and little to no squat.
This was my first time at an 1/8 mile track. Any guesses as to what it should run in the 1/4?? Thanks guys.

Good runs....looks like a 10.9@127-128. My SR 396 LT1 ran the exact same 1/8 times and that is what it ended up running in the 1/4. My 6spd ended up running a little more mph on the backhalf of the 1/4 than the normal (1/8 mile mph x 1.27 conversion). I would assume yours would probably do the same.

Anyway get you some good tires and turn that bitch loose, lol. good luck Charles

A Lot faster then that pass for sure. As a reference as to what 592rwhp solid roller 408 traps with a Super Victor intake...108 mph n the 1/8 with a loose 5200 stall, t400, and 3.27 gears in the 9" rear with 275/60/15 Drag radials. The car is 3600 lbs with driver.

I trapped 105mph and ran a 6.55 first run out, off the footbrake.
Then again, my car and the one above were ran in TX weather/altitude.
My car is probably 3,800lbs or so with me in it.

03 BUSA, I'd definitely say that with a little more seat time and fine tuning you'll probably see some lower 10s@130-132.....maybe even a little more, just as others have already said. That's a great combo you have and it will only go faster
