Hello, pix inside, 56k - make a sammich
Hey all.
I just bought my first Fbody in May of 08. Been lurking around and trying to locate parts for it. I plan on doing a Heads, cam, intake install here in a month or so.
Right now she sits as a 98 T/A, Welded in SBC's, Welded relo brackets, spohn lower control arms, Hotchkiss panhard bar, HR Sport springs, and Edelbrock engine bay brace. Still got the 10 bolt but it has 3:73's, MAC Girdle, Detroit TrueTrac, and Welded Axle tubes.
Under the hood holds a stock LS1 with Pacesetter longtubes feeding SLP Loudmouth exhaust through a Moroso muffler. The ls1 is fed by SLP Lid into a 80mm Throttle body with a 100Hp NX Wet shot triggered by a WOT and MSD Window switch. I have a Jimmy Jam's Ashtray Switchplate running the bottle heater, purge, and Arm/Disarm switches.
Interior holds a Tripple gauge pillar pod that holds Autometer O2 gauge, Vacuum/boost, and N2O Pressure gauge. Theres a SLP LineLock to help me heat up the tires and I think that about covers it.
Pix are attached. Over the next month I need to locate the following.
Cam: Either a Torquer V2 or the 233/239 with 112lsa
Timing set
Push Rods
ARP Head studs
High Volume oil pump
MSD 6010
Options:
Possibly a 85mm or 90mm Throttle body
Possibly a 85 or 90mm Nitrous Plate
Thanks to any and all that can help.

First of all...you should be flogged with a Ford key-fob for having this car for almost a year and not posting up with it!!! All kidding aside tho...
One suggestion is you really might want to look into a fuel pump also. I don't remember exactly what the factory pump can handle...but with a nitrous system and the power you want to add in the future it's pretty cheap insurance.
Also, which MSD window switch are you running? Does it use pills or is it digital w/ buttons?
Great looking car, only thing I would suggest from my POV is look around on the classifieds, and if you could find a nitrous pressure gauge that matched the other gauges I'd switch out so they were all the same style....
Also, just as an FYI, my P&P factory throttle body with an LS6 intake took me into the mid/high 10's with a 125 shot (not spraying in 1st) and mid 11's all motor...

Thanks for the warm welcomes.
Previous car list is long and rediculous. Previous performance cars include 1995 ImpalaSS, 150NX shot, Hooker 2.5" mandrel bent cat back, Eibach springs, 52mm throttle body, MDS6a. Best time was 14.3 @ 101mph @ 4700ft alt.
I've spent most of my time in the classics, that list is longer then my sportscar list.
1968 Buick Skylark, 350/350, Daily driver for a time
1967 Impala SS, TrueSS, 350/350, power everything, hardtop
1966 Ford Thunderbird, 390/C6, Cammed, headers, shift kit, 4bbl
1964 BelAir Wagon, 350/700R4, 9 passenger, dropped, new interior, exterior, 18's
1933 Chevrolet Master, 400/400, sedan, streetrod
Yeah, I already have the heads and intake purchased. The intake is the Weiand Lingenfelter signature (LS6) intake that has been CNC'd to match the CNC'd 241 heads. The heads already have the PRC dual springs good to .660 lift installed with titanium retainers. I know this intake flow drops off drastically after 6400 RPMs so thats why I am trying to find a conservative cam to suite my needs like the TorquerV2 (1800-6400rpm) or the 233/239 (1900-6500rpm) cam to compliment my setup.
The MSD window switch is the digital type with the buttons, no pills here. I am thinking about adding the MSD6010 so I can retard the timing for the N2O, seeing that I have the 98 ECM (useless for tuning) I need the extra box for better timing control. This way I can get the most of both worlds, max timing N/A and retarded timing, max power with the N2O. It will be tricky with the 112lsa, but I have always dreamed of owning a car with a lope at idle.
I am not sure if the fuel pump is stock, I know it makes a ton of noise but am unknown of the specs/performance of it. I know I should invest in a pump as well and may add some injectors to my list of mods. 33# LS2 injectors at least if not some 42#'s.

BTW, if you can find some injectors from the Grand Prix GTP, they are a great cheap upgrade.

Just as a word of caution, those Dig MSD's have been known to have issues. My N2O kit came from a car that had a bad hair day due to a Dig MSD failing and letting N2O activate at Idle...just an FYI. For timing control, I really like my Lingenfelter (can be found at nitrousoutlet.com)

Right now the N2O is hooked up to WOT+Window switch activates, so either way I have to have both working to get it to light. Since I launch around 2K, that would be the least amount of RPMs it would shoot at if the Dig Window switch failed, otherwise she shoots around 3.2K. But then again, launching out of the hole on N2O would be a fun ride for sure! No delay.

The GTP injectors are rated at 36lbs @ 3 bar, but on LS1 fuel pressure (4 bar) they are actually 41lbs. The part number from a 2000 GTP is 24508208, I do not know if other year models used diff part numbers.
And as far as the MSD Dig...go here and you'll know what I mean:
