Default Finally got my H/C installed (video)

So after a good month or so for waiting for parts Ive finally got my heads and cam installed. The install was pretty easy, more so than most people make it seem. The heads are PRC 2.5 5.3l's and they look sweet. The cam is a custom grind, somewhat close to the MS4 but with a 109lsa.

Any questions just ask (except for cam specs )

And heres the video:

Thanks everybody for the kind words!

Matt, thank you! All the parts were done by you guys over there and everything looks spectacular.

Topher no driving clips yet, I was thinking about getting some tonight tho check back this weekend tho, they will be there.

And TXZ28LS1 Clint will be doing the tune here very shortly. I just need to get my fuel pump installed so I can get my N2O numbers.

Did you degree the cam and what was your piston to valve clearance?

Wow dont ever miss a shift or boom! Car sounds nice, but as much as you love your car I can't beleive the amount of people who do not degree their cam. Whats the point of speccing a custom cam if you dont install it where its supposed to be?

Thanks. The only thing about degreeing the cam is that I would have PTV clearance issues. If need be we will just add/reduce timing in the tune.

And I hope I dont miss a shift.

Maybe, maybe not, you will never know unless you check. The cam could be advanced 4 degrees as far as you know. If it is advanced 4 degrees too much and you retard it 4 degrees to where it should be you would have much more piston to valve clearance.

.030 for ptv clearance is definitly not enough. You will have some issues with that

I don't understand that logic!

You feel if the cam was properly installed and degreed there would be a piston to valve clearance problem? So instead of dealing with the problem, just ignore it?

How do you know the clearance was around 30 thousandths? Just above ya stated you didnt bother checking.

Or do you mean the quench is around 30 thousandths?

I dunno...I feel another LS1 getting close to going BOOM.
